The BUBBLES consortium is a synergic combination of academy, industry and operational organisations

The consortium is the foundation on which the project is built and its solidity is key so that the Concept of Operations formulated by BUBBLES is sound and can be further developed as an industrial application.

The consortium comprises three academic partners (the Universitat Politècnica de València, the Universidade de Coimbra and the Università degli Studi La Sapienza di Roma), one of the World largest manufacturers of CNS systems (Indra) and the organisation in charge of the safety of air navigation in Europe (EUROCONTROL). The scientific excellence of the academic partners along with the exceptional institutional and industrial partnership gives a guarantee about reaching the ambitious scientific-technic goals and maximizes the project impact and paves the way for future industrial exploitation.

The main activities in which each partner will be involved are:

  • Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV): UPV is the coordinator of the project and is mainly involved in the development of the separation management ConOps and the OSED/SPR/INTEROP.
  • Universidade de Coimbra (UC): UC is in charge of all the communications-related aspects of the separation management ConOps.
  • Università degli Studi La Sapienza di Roma (UNIROMA1): UNIROMA1 is  responsible for applying Artificial Intelligence methods to the separation management ConOps.
  • EUROCONTROL: it is participating in the ConOps definition and validation by simulation, as well as in performing Performance and Safety Operational Assessments.
  • Indra Sistemas S.A. (Indra): Indra is responsible for defining scenarios supporting the ConOps definition and participates in the concept experimental validation.
